Day Use Pass
Day Use activities such as swimming, fishing and picnicking at HWC is restricted to guests with a Camping Reservation and to Cohova BnB Guests who reserve a Day Use Pass only.
There are currently no other options for Day use at HWC.
This Day Use reservation is exclusively for Cohova Bnb Guests at the River Ranch House and is only valid during the dates in which you have a booking at the BnB.

We have had multiple requests from guests that are staying at the River Ranch BnB next door asking to access the beach at HWC for day use.
While we cannot make this offer to the entire public at large, we want to be a friendly neighbor make this available to you.
This Day Use Pass allows access to all of HWC common areas including roads, river access, the meadow, toilets, launching and taking out of boats, fishing, picnicking, parking etc. You may drive down onto the gravel bar next to the river as you wish. Please be careful not to get stuck.
It does not allow access to designated campsites and no amenities are included, so you will need to bring everything you need for day use.
Note: If you only wish to launch/takeout or park for river shuttle and floating the river, then a River Access Pass (RAP) should be used instead of the Day Use Pass, however, if you reserve day use, you do not need a RAP also.
You may bring up to 8 people and 2 vehicles maximum.

No extra charge for the 2 vehicles. You may also bring a trailer for hauling boats and gear as needed at no extra charge.
This is for Day Use Only from 7a.m. to 10p.m. and is not a camping or overnight reservation.
A liability waiver for each person in your group must be completed using the link on our website before arrival.
All HWC rules apply.
HWC will be closed from approximately Nov 15 to sometime in May (ish). If the site is live and you can still make a reservation, then we will honor it.
We are excited to make this offering and hope you enjoy your visit to the river.
(We also want to respect the privacy of our guests who book the entire campground, so our escape clause is that we may cancel this option as well as your day use reservation at any time if there are any conflicts with scheduling or the need arises for an exclusive HWC event (such as a wedding or other special event). We would, of course, refund you if you have already paid and this were to occur. We will make every attempt to accommodate you if we can, but our camping guests at HWC will take priority if there is a conflict.)
